Джуран, Джозеф Мозес (1904-; американский инженер румынского происхождения, известный специалист в области управления качеством; разрабатывал концепцию контроля качества через общую систему и культуру управления; в 1937 г. предложил интерпретировать закон Парето как ключевой принцип для контроля качества; одной из главных проблем в области качества считал человеческий фактор и неспособность или нежелание людей приспосабливать свое поведение к требованиям процесса; в 1940-х гг. начал преподавать курс "Managing for Quality"; в 1950-х гг. был приглашен в Японию для преподавания курсов в области качества для среднего и высшего менеджмента, где способствовал развитию концепции "кружков качества"; концепции Джурана стали популярными в США только в 1960-70-х гг., когда американское бизнес-сообщество столкнулось с конкуренцией японских компаний)See:
